Our business originated in 1937, when Armando Lega commenced keeping bees as a hobby. At the same time, he began to make beekeeping equipment, not only for himself, but also for his many friends and acquaintances.

As time passed, Armando found himself supplying an increasing number of beekeepers in the region. In order to meet the needs of these growing numbers of people requiring equipment, his eldest son Guiseppe joined him. From this time he became a professional beekeeper and manufacturer of equipment.

Over the following sixty years, our Company has grown and has acquired very specific experience both in the manufacture of equipment and the breeding of bees. Such experience has enabled us to utilise our special knowledge to produce equipment that is at the leading edge in this particular field of activity.

Our efforts in the development, design and manufacture of beekeeping equipment, are beneficial to both the hobbyist and professional. We are certain that such products only gain acceptance in the market place provided that they are exceptional. This is why we pay great attention to detail and continual use of the most modern equipment, some of which is purpose built.

Whilst we basically ‘mass produce’, our specially made machines have the flexibility, which allows us to satisfy the needs of beekeepers who require customised equipment.

We employ almost forty people at our two manufacturing centres in Faenza which are divided into several departments: Carpentry, Manufacturing, Wax Processing, Technical Office, Administration, Shipping and Stores. The two plants cover approximately 6000 square metres which enable us to store a large quantity of goods to supply orders quickly and accurately to clients all over the world.
