How many times has the beekepeers had to leave valuable swarms on tall trees or other difficult places because they cannot be reached? This has now been solved by an ingenious system conceived and patented by "Beekeeping Canva" (The patent has now been aquired by Lega srl). This system allows the beekeepers to easily reach swarms in higher or difficult positions that otherwise could not previously be reached. The SWARM CATCHER (Art. 930) works on the principle of a "Vacuum" created inside the hive by means of a petrol engine or an electric motor if used internally. It collects without damage, all the bees in the swarm and takes them by means of a pipe into a nucleus box containing 4 honey combs already drawn. This allows the Queen to commence laying almost immediately. The special collecting pipe is extremely light and comprises multiples of 150 cms in lenght. Experience over the last two years has shown this method to be effective up to 10 metres. After a short while, the swarm will be settled and can be viewed through a trasparent lid. If necessary, it can be transferred to a full sized beehive. The Swarm Catcher is light, small in size and comes with handles to allow easy transportation. The motor if equipped with a special pipe, can immediately be converted to a small and light Bee Blower for cleaning bees from honey combs.

New to uor catalogue is the GLOVE "ACQUA-STOP" (Items 3431, 3432, 3433, 3434 - item n. according to size). It is a very practical glove having a strong soft cotton inner lining and an outer waterproof Nitrile coating. It comes complete with a cotton elasticated gauntlet. The special Nitrile coating, provides the glove with a very good grip that is both strong, flexible and soft.
