Simplified antivarroa isolator for Langhstroth hives. It is a natural method to combat varroa, knowing that the reproductive cycle of the same occurs only inside the cells with brood.

Its use consists in confining the queen bee on a single frame, empty, ready for laying. The queen bee lays its eggs only on this honeycomb and the varroa only on the larvae of this honeycomb can be installed for reproduction. The honeycomb, when the brood is capped, also full of varroe, is removed and destroyed in the waxer, eliminating all the new generation. The simplified isolator designed by us to confine the queen consists mainly of a cage formed by steel queen excluders.

This particular-shaped cage closes the selected honeycomb, with the queen, against one of the two side walls of the hive, in an airtight manner, so the circulation of bees is normal throughout the hive but is closed to the queen.

The surface on which the queen can move is sufficient to circulate her pheromone in the family and not to create the effect of an "orphan family".
