The wax sheets in pure beeswax are made directly in the Lega factory, and have all the quality and attention of Lega products.
HOW LAMINATED WAX SHEETS ARE MADE
The solid wax in blocks is melted in an autoclave at a temperature of 130 degrees, in order to guarantee its sterilization as well.
Sterilization is one of the most important phases of the manufacturing process.
Subsequently, the melted wax is cooled and brought to about 80 degrees and conveyed to a first machine that produces a completely smooth and thick wax roller.
When cold, the wax is then inserted into a faceting machine (with parallel cylinders with a faceted surface in the shape of the hexagonal cells) which imprints the cells on the surface of the wax. Cold pressure causes waxy sheets to be less brittle and more flexible.
