Wax sterilization is the only practice that gives security against the American foulbrood in the production of wax sheets.
Producing wax on an industrial level means being able to comply with the established rules and the health of bees. That's why when you need to produce wax sheets, you need a professional and reliable tool.
This sterilizer, made entirely of stainless steel, is made up of a cylindrical container with three concentric walls. In the interspace between the first and second walls there is the diathermic oil which is heated by the electric resistances mounted on the bottom and allows to obtain temperatures much higher than 120 ° C which are necessary for the sterilization of the wax. The electric resistances have an absorption of 3000 watts. Before proceeding with the sterilization of the wax contained in the container, it is necessary to make sure that it is completely melted, therefore the thermostat of the electric resistance must first be positioned on a value of about 80 ° C.
Only when all the wax is melted should the thermostat be brought to a temperature of 120 ° C and leave the mass at this temperature for 30 minutes, after which the wax can be considered sterilized and the temperature set on the thermostat scale must be lowered to 75 ° to the subsequent processing.
In the gap between the second and third walls there is a special insulating material that prevents heat dispersion.
The internal bottom is conical, with a central opening closed by a large tap for the total discharge of the wax at the end of the process. On the vertical wall, raised above the bottom, there is the clear wax outlet tap.
