Scalvini cage in plastic to allow the restriction of brood rearing by imprisoning the queen.

It is inserted in the centre of a honeycomb after cutting out the corresponding portion of it. It consists of a bottom with female cells already marked, where the queen during imprisonment lays, a lid that acts as a queen excluder, allowing bees to care for queen and brood and a cap to free the queen, without opening the cage.

It is very interesting that, despite the small size of the cage, the bees, removing part of the brood laid, allow the queen to lay down for the whole period of imprisonment.

This model of cage is taller compared to the other Scalvini cage model (#1324).
