Our origins
The history of the brand League began in 1937 in Faenza, when Armando Lega He discovered beekeeping almost by chance: two swarms of bees received as a wedding gift became the spark that ignited his passion and made him fall in love with this world.
Over the years, accompanied by his children Joseph e Robert, soon transformed his passion into a family business that, in just a few years, became a point of reference for Italian beekeepers first and then international ones.
The first handcrafted equipment produced in Lega's workshops has accompanied generations of beekeepers, silent witnesses to a profession built on patience, dedication and respect for nature. With them, Lega has helped write the history of modern beekeeping.
A LEGACY THAT CONTINUES
After a challenging period, Lega's story has found new life in a relaunch project led by Gaetano Fasolino, a young entrepreneur from Bologna who has chosen to breathe new life into this historic business.
Today, Industrie Lega 1937 combines the solidity of its tradition with a new energy made up of research, innovation and vision. The production site remains in Faenza, with over 6,000 square metres of operational spaces dedicated to the design and manufacture of professional beekeeping equipment.
With respect for its history and an eye to the future, Lega continues to build its contribution to the beekeeping of tomorrow every day.
