Pollen collector, to be applied to the entrance of the hive.

This special type of structure manages to collect the pollen at the entrance to the hive when the worker bees return the pollen to the hive on their return.

The system is as simple as it is ingenious. Bees retain pollen on their legs: passing through a smaller door (the holes in the divider), the pollen detaches from the legs and falls into the container below.
Obviously some of the pollen remains attached to the bees, so that they can still feed the family. But a good part remains in the trap, in order to be collected by the beekeeper.
The trap is specially made for hives with a portico, so that it fits exactly into the front window sill of the hive.
The trap is made of wood, metal and plastic. The container is made of wire mesh.
